Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP, has been in our awareness since the 1970s when Richard Bandler and John Grinder first started looking into the use of language in development and modelling what successful people do in various therapeutic roles.

Since then, there have been many contributors to NLP that have broadened the ability of a practitioner to support those wanting to develop or solve problems.

It is beneficial across all aspects of life, and some call it the instruction manual for the brain!!

At Pro-Noctis, we employ some of the tools and practices in our communication, coaching and performance development.

In this blog post, we will discuss what NLP is and how you can use it to improve your life!

NLP is the practice of understanding someone’s thinking, feeling and language to produce results; participants can use NLP for personal development and success in business.

NLP aims to help people understand how they create their reality using language, thoughts, and feelings. A change of language thought, or feeling can change the whole context of an experience and potentially change future experiences for the positive.

According to NLP, we all experience the world through our five senses, and we pay attention to pertinent things. Consequently, we may share the same experience of something with another person. However, when we talk about it later, the description of the experience each of us gives may differ dramatically.

Essentially, we create our reality and sometimes these realities are not helpful – this is where NLP comes in.

We might challenge that reality, and by understanding language, we can help someone create a more fruitful reality.

This concept is at the core of NLP. A practitioner can deploy numerous techniques to help support an individual going through a period of change, seeking performance or helping an individual deal with some of life’s problems.

NLP is a powerful tool that can improve your life in many ways. It can help you understand yourself better, change how you behave and think, and achieve your goals.
