Pro-Noctis to present at the Maritime Economy Forum Gdynia, Poland

Pro-Noctis are honoured to be invited to speak at the exclusive Maritime Economy Forum to be held in Gdynia, Poland in October 2019. The invite specifically asks Pro-Noctis to present their view on the importance of Human Performance within organisations for an industry that is striving to do it’s best for its people.

The Forum description:

The Maritime Economy Forum Gdynia will gather, for the nineteenth time already, Polish maritime industry specialists who in cooperation with invited experts will summarize the most important current issues of the world and Polish maritime economy and outline possible directions for development.

The Forum, as a real business platform considered the most important event of this kind in Poland, once again adjusts to the requirements of the maritime industry. In this year’s edition, the hitherto four panels change so that their subject-matters could cover the most recent trends, events and challenges deriving from the global economy nowadays. Maritime Technologies, Sea Ports and Logistics, Finance and Law and Shipping – these will be the keywords of this year’s panels held in Gdynia. The problems assigned to particular panels will allow to analyse more broadly opportunities and challenges faced by Polish maritime industry companies due to dynamically changing worldwide trends and their geopolitical background. The prospect of turbulence related to potential Brexit or to the USA-China trade war – these are some of the matters with which the global, but also Polish maritime economy will have to cope soon.

Approaching these issues during this year’s Maritime Economy Forum Gdynia is supposed to give an impulse to a broad discussion indicating optimum directions for the development of the maritime economy sector in Poland, while the logistics and organisational solutions of the event itself will strengthen the image of Gdynia as a city of business and a dynamically developing meetings and events industry centre. One of the Forum’s most important assets is the fact of it being prepared in close collaboration with both maritime industry theorists and practitioners, including the maritime community, academic institutions and numerous business partners. This guarantees that Forum sessions will become, like every year, an arena for the lively exchange of views and concepts.

The invited special guests, as well as respective panel leaders, will ensure the high professional standard of the debates held. This year’s Forum means over 600 guests and over 30 speakers, including representatives of all the biggest ports in Poland as well as managers and owners of maritime industry enterprises from Poland and other European countries.

Our intention is also to effectively engage the younger generation and present professional opportunities in the maritime industry. To this end, we cooperate with academic science clubs by organizing events accompanying trips to maritime industry companies for students from secondary schools as well as a film contest and an additional seminar devoted to “Shoreward tourism”.

The Forum will be held on Friday, October 11th, 2019 at the Conference Centre of the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia at Al. Zwycięstwa 96/98.
