A GIANT Night for our Cycling Team

It was a chance for people to ask questions and gain insight into the current UK racing scene, all of which will hopefully inspire the next generations of cyclists and cycling fans.

A couple of weeks ago, the Pro-Noctis cycling team were invited to a ‘Panel With’ event, hosted by one of our sponsors Giant Lincoln.

This was the first time we had been invited to an event like this.  It was an exciting opportunity to showcase the team and to introduce some of the riders on a more personal level.

I was joined by my teammates Zoe and Millie, Phil – Pro-Noctis’ Managing Director and Human Performance expert – and Dean Downing, Head Coach at Downing Cycling, 10-time British National Champion and one the best cycling coaches in the UK. The evening was all about high performance, training, coaching and how we work as a team on and off the bike. We shared stories and learnings from our time as riders. Phil and Dean offered expert insight and tools for people looking to advance on their own goals and ambitions.

The evening finished with some great, thought-provoking questions from the audience. The evening was a great chance to showcase what we are all about as a team; our values, our challenges, how we strive to be the best we can and how we work to make our supporters and our sponsors proud. I think events like this are so valuable – not only do they offer the opportunity for riders and supporters to meet, but they promote discussion and knowledge-sharing around performance, teamwork, and elite sport.  It’s a chance for people to ask questions and gain insight into the current UK racing scene, all of which will hopefully inspire the next generations of cyclists and cycling fans.

Phil Kelly added:

It was a fantastic evening all round providing an opportunity for team members to spend more time together in a social setting, for team sponsors to meet each other face to face and for the audience to understand in a bit more depth about what it takes for a team to operate at this level. The compliments on how professional and approachable the team are, the obvious bond between everyone and the way in which we create a high performing culture was the icing on the cake. Everyone involved in the team can feel we have something genuinely special, but for others to see it and comment on it, means the world to us all.

Thank you so much to the event organisers and our team sponsors Giant Lincoln and 200 Degrees Coffee..
