“This is why we approach leadership development the way we do…We listen first. We get to know the people, the pressures and the pace of the environment. Then we design something that fits – whether that’s coaching, workshops, leadership pathways or qualifications that support genuine, long-term development.” – David Craig, Pro-Noctis Regional Operations Director for the Middle East and Asia

Pro-Noctis expanded into Dubai and the wider Middle East at a pivotal moment. Across the region, organisations have been seeking to prioritise innovation, sustainability and people development to support long-term growth.

Dubai, in particular, is a uniquely diverse working environment; local and expatriate talent work side by side, making effective leadership, cultural intelligence, and people-centred communication essential.

Two years ago, David Craig joined Pro-Noctis as Regional Operations Director for the Middle East and Asia. Based in Dubai, David has over a decade of leadership, training and development experience across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. His regional insight, combined with his background in elite performance, is a key part of how we deliver meaningful, relevant and high-impact training programmes.

Below, David shares his approach, his perspective on leadership and people development, and why Pro-Noctis is committed to supporting organisations worldwide to develop confident, capable and culturally intelligent leaders and managers:

Pro-Noctis has been in the UAE for over two years now, working with organisations that recognise something important: real growth isn’t just about technology, infrastructure or strategy – it’s about people who know how to lead. Here, leadership isn’t about job titles. It’s about aligning people, communicating clearly and helping others feel confident enough to perform at their best.

My own journey started in the Royal Air Force, working in rehabilitation and human performance. Those early years taught me how much leadership and wellbeing go hand in hand – and that systems only work when the people behind them feel supported, respected and understood. After leaving the RAF, I spent over a decade managing and consulting across fitness, rehabilitation and performance environments in the UAE and the UK. Those experiences showed me that sustainable performance only happens when individuals feel clear on their purpose and confident in their role.

As Regional Operations Director for Pro-Noctis, my focus is simple: help organisations build leaders who can perform in real situations, not just in theory. That means getting underneath the surface: looking at unclear expectations, patchy accountability, cultural friction, burnout and gaps in leadership maturity. Fixing symptoms doesn’t work. You must understand the real cause.

This is why we approach leadership development the way we do. We don’t turn up with a pre-packaged programme. We listen first. We get to know the people, the pressures and the pace of the environment. Then we design something that fits – whether that’s coaching, workshops, leadership pathways or ILM qualifications that support genuine, long-term development. Our goal is to help leaders see their blind spots, improve how they communicate and build teams where people can do their best work.

Leadership, in my view, comes down to three things: clarity, communication and connection. When leaders get that right, everything else starts to move in the right direction; culture strengthens, performance stabilises, and teams achieve more than expected.

If your organisation is growing quickly, navigating cultural complexity or trying to build more confident, capable managers, I’m always open to a conversation. No pressure, no pitch – just an honest talk about what’s working, what isn’t, and where the real opportunities might be.

Whether you’re looking for coaching, business consultancy, or leadership training, Pro-Noctis can help you address your organisational challenges or individual development goals. And if you’re not yet sure what support you need, we’re happy to guide you. Get in touch with our team for a conversation, and we’ll help you identify the right next step for you or your organisation.
